A little peek..

I thought I would let you have a little peek into what I've been up to today.
With fear that my children may drown in a mountain of wool, I decided to try and use up some of my stash, so I took a bag full of discarded yarn to my knit and natter group today and spent two enjoyable hours making granny squares.

These will be making their way over to Sarah and her Crochet a Rainbow  donation, there is a link in my side bar if you fancy joining in, definitely a worth while cause, my thoughts are with those over in Australia who are suffering at the moment.

With my bag almost empty, would it really hurt to replace it with some much needed cotton??
No, I thought not.
I was so excited to find this morning that my LYS had started stocking Rico creative and in every single colour!!!
Would you like a peek in my bag?

another little look?...

Don't worry this little stash will be of no harm to my children as it will be neatly put away...for now.

Speak soon Jacey xx

Come on, spill... where's the LYS?
The colours of the grannies are so lovely. It's making me rethink the granny square blanket I'm making - might have to refashion the squares I've made into something else and start again.

ohhhhh Jacey, your squares are just lovely. I have signed up but yet to get the hook out. Currently madly making cards and doing up gift packs for our street party auction which is tomorrow to raise money for a school in QLD which recently suffered from the floods.
As for your new stash, *swoon* for joy. Just look at those colours, oh I cannot wait to see what you are going to create with them. *sigh* they are beautiful. I am eyeing that lovely watermelon and avocado on the bottom left there. hhmmmmm such sweetness.

The squares are lovely and I love those yarns! Lucky you! Somehow, even if we had mountains of yarns, they're just still not enough :p

Hi Jacey, I still haven't managed a granny square. I can do about 3 rows of colors but then it goes wonky for some reason. I guess try and try again and maybe I will get it. The granny ripple is so easy. But I hate tying in the tails. And the baby blanket I just finished is far from perfect. I always forget which side is the right side. :/ Oh well! It's handmade and doesn't have to be perfect, right! Happy day to you! Love that wool. I just bought some new ones too even though I already have waaaaayyyy too much of the stuff. :) Best wishes, Tammy

These are really beautiful. I learned a lot today. I like crochet and I always limited my work to blankets, now I know I can do more.
