Cardigan and awards.

Happy New year everyone!
Hope you all had a good one. Ours was a very quiet new years eve, a carpet picnic, a few board games , dancing along with Michael Jackson on the Wii and all in bed by 12:15am.
New years day was perfect, hubby cooked dinner, a lovely lamb dish and lemon trifle for pud whilst I crocheted the day away.

This is the first item of clothing I have ever made.

Some of it is a little wonky and the sewing could be a little neater, but overall I'm pleased with it. The pattern can be found here.

Here is the little princess modeling her new cardi..

I have been very lucky in blogland this week and have received 2 awards, well the same award twice.

A great big thank you to Marion and Clara, I will pass this award on in my next post, this will give me time to think of something interesting about myself , as you can tell from my exciting new years eve I'm not that interesting.

Valentines day is just around the corner and as I don't hold out much hope of receiving anything I was delighted to find this fantastic swap over at Sew Special Bears.
Looks like I might actually receive something this year, should I pretend to hubby my gifts are from a secret admirer ??

Speak soon xxxx

I think I'm even less interesting that you if NYE is anything to go by! We didn't even manage a board game and slept through new year... sad but true!

A carpet picnic and board games is a pretty good evening in my book. The cardigan is gorgeous, what a stylish little lady!I love the flowery top underneath it too! I think you did a great job with it, well done :)

Are you kidding me?! That cardigan is your first?! It's soooo lovely. And it looks like you've got a 'super model' in the making. She's entirely adorable in her new cardi. xx Josie

It's so lovely and your little girl is stunning - the colour really suits her! I love that second picture as it captures little children at their best - it looks like she is putting the leaf up her nose (although more likely smelling it). I know for a fact if it was my little boy it would be him putting it up his nose as he is a terror!

I like it with the buttons on much better than the ribbon shown in the pattern. Looks as if the model likes it too!
