1st Camping Trip This Year.

Hello all, hope you all had a fantastic Easter.
We were lucky enough to squeeze in a camping trip to Derbyshire, to try out our new tent.
The weather was beautiful in the day, but I will admit to being a little chilly at night, must invest in some warmer sleeping bags.

The campsite was great for the kids, plenty of room to play and kick the ball about.

We didn't do anything too exerting, a few small walks...

......relaxing and reading,.......

Lunch in the local pub.....

and most important of all , time for a little hooky, whilst sitting in the sun and a nice cold beer.

I managed to get a few triangles of bunting done.

In my last post I was torn between 2 patterns for my bunting, but have settled on good old granny for this set.

All in all it was a successful camping trip, until we had to get the tent back into its teeny tiny bag, why do they make the bags so small ??

Speak soon xx

I always pack extra blankets/patchwork quilts for me as I always feel the cold.

We used to go camping when the kids were still at home. Now we opt for a nice hotel room, complete with a shower. Glad to hear you had a good time.

Very jealous of your tent. We went to Go outdoors the other week and looked at those. We have a perfectly good tent though, which we have only used about 10 times so it's here to stay with us for at least a few more trips. You have just reminded me that this year, now I know how, I can sit outside my tent and crochet........yay for the first trip in May xx

Your camping experience looks like fun and the weather bright and cheery despite cold nights.
Your your kids are gorgeous and did I see your eldest snuggled in a crochet rug? :)
Good to see you had some hooky time as well and I love the colours of your bunting.

*clink clink* hullo Jacey, and cheers to you. I have been enjoying a spot of sun and finished a knitted beanie for myself this afternoon whilst sipping beer. lol I got such a kick out of your post, we are on opposite sides of the ocean yet, still we are connected by beer, yarn, camping for you, caravanning for me, family, and blog. Have a wonderful weekend at your place.

looks like you had a fab time! Just realised your kiddies are very similar in age to mine (10, 9 & 3) :-) By the way your lovely little daisy shoes went down very well, they have got lots of comments on the baby who received them :-) The others are being given over in a few weeks - can't wait for her the little girls Mum to see them, they are so lovely :-)
